the future structures of a more connected society

Loneliness is rampant right now.

So many of my friends and students are silently struggling. This drove me to spend the last 3 months researching how loneliness manifests and how it can be solved.

I found solutions from every sector of society.

Here they are, in the form of 8 blog posts that I will be sharing over the next 8 days:

  1. Culture — a shift towards altruism, bolstered by celebrities or crisis
  2. Market — next wave of social products and pay-for community
  3. Employers — companies connecting employees to drive performance
  4. Health — doctors writing “social prescriptions” for patients
  5. Mission — nonprofits closing the connection gap
  6. Government — policy and urban design to facilitate connections
  7. Education — teaching social emotional intelligence and self-reliance
  8. Personal — overcoming loneliness through our own action

My hope is for these posts to be open sourced with feedback from readers. There is a path forward for organizations and people joining the fight for togetherness. Let’s build it.
